With over two decades of dedicated service, I've been at the forefront of high-stakes investigations and tactical operations. As a Special Operations Detective, I've played a pivotal role in dismantling complex criminal networks, including homicides, gang-related violence, armed robberies, narcotics trafficking, and organized crime.
My leadership experience extends beyond the field, as I've served as a Sergeant overseeing high-risk operations and training future generations of law enforcement officers. As a certified AZPOST General Instructor for over 14 years, I've delivered critical training on subjects such as officer-involved shootings, mindset, cell phone analysis, fugitive apprehension, and covert surveillance.
Beyond my operational expertise, I'm committed to fostering personal and professional growth. Proven Track Record: Over 20 years of experience in law enforcement, including specialized roles in Special Operations, U.S. Marshals/ATF Task Forces, and Gang Units.
Leadership Excellence: 5+ years of supervisory experience in Patrol and Street Crimes Units, overseeing narcotics investigations, burglaries, robberies, surveillance operations, and fugitive apprehensions.
Advanced Training and Certifications: AZPOST Certified Peace Officer and General Instructor, ZETX Subject Matter Expert in Cell Phone Analysis, Advanced Tactical Apprehension Instructor, Crisis Intervention Team, SWAT School, and Fitness Instructor.
National Recognition: NAPO TOP COPS Honorable Mention Award (2013).

Early Career:
Joined Gila River Police Department in 2000.
Graduated from CARLOTA and worked patrol for three years.
Headed Participative Management Team.
Mesa Police Department Career:
Hired by MPD in 2003 as a lateral transfer.
Worked patrol in Central, Falcon, and Dobson Districts.
Joined Major Felon Unit in 2007, specializing in high-profile serial robbery and serial killer cases.
Transferred to Gang Unit in 2010, investigating gang-related crimes, warrant round-ups, and outlaw motorcycle group activities.
Moved to Career Criminal Squad in 2012, focusing on repeat offenders and working with the ATF Task Force.
Received advanced training in cell phone records analysis and live tracking.
Testified as an expert witness in Maricopa County Superior Court.
Developed and instructed an Arizona Police Officer Standards Training (POST)-approved training class on basic cell phone investigations.
Promoted to Sergeant in 2015, supervising patrol officers.
Led the Red Mountain District Street Crimes Unit in 2017, overseeing drug investigations, community problems, and fugitive apprehensions.
Retired from MPD in 2021.
Current Role:
Certified as a ZETX Subject Matter Expert in cell phone records analysis and live tracking.
Hired by ZETX/LexisNexis as an Investigations Instructor in 2021.
Instructed law enforcement personnel at over 85 police agencies across the United States.
